Ronson plans to auction NME gong

Mark Ronson is planning to sell his NME Award in protest at a bad review from the music magazine.

The DJ and producer claimed that he was told about the negative review by one of the publication's journalists.

According to Ronson, the writer denied writing the article which was attached to their name and apologised for the critical report.

He posted a copy of the email sent by the journalist with their name blacked out.

Ronson said on his official blog: "I got the following email from a journalist at the NME in reference to what I imagine was a scathing review of my Glasto performance. (If only I read the mag, I might know what it said....oh well)."

He added: "My NME award for 2008's Best International Solo Artist will be on eBay as soon as the morons send it to me.

"I doubt the bidding will go that high and it makes an excellent doorstop."
