Harrison Ford - Ford Eyes Jack Ryan Return

HARRISON FORD is considering reprising another of his big-screen action heroes - his role as special agent JACK RYAN.

Ford followed in the footsteps of Alec Baldwin in 1990 film Hunt For The Red October, by playing the CIA analyst in 1992's Patriot Games.

The 65-year-old returned to the role two years later for Clear and Present Danger, but Ryan - novelist Tom Clancy's most famous creation - has since been played by Ben Affleck, who stepped up for 2002's The Sum of All Fears.

Ryan Gosling is the latest actor to have been linked to the role.

But Ford insists he would definitely consider making a third Jack Ryan movie - because he would love to play a mature version of the legendary character.

He says, "The Ryan films, the Tom Clancy films were, I thought, worth re-exploring again, but I wasn't a huge fan of the book on which the last one was based. I think they made a cracking good shot at it and I think Ben Affleck is a very, very talented.

"That's a character that I think you could revisit acknowledging the passage of time and his increasing age. It wasn't age dependent; that character and his experiences were chockablock full of recipes for good engaging movies, so that's a character I wouldn't mind revisiting."
