Ana Johnsson made her raid into the glare on the first season of the Swedish edition of Popstars, where she performed in the chart-topping miss group Excellence. She left the grouping in 2002 in parliamentary law to pursue a solo career, exchanging the group's syrupy-sweet Europop for mealy Avril Lavigne-style stripling pop. Johnsson's number one single, "The Way I Am," indisposed at figure 17 on the Swedish charts in 2003, and her debut record album, Cuz I Can, came out unitary year afterward. Neither the record album nor the single sold specially well; all the same, an executive at Columbia Tristar contacted Johnsson shortly later with an invitation to contribute a vocal to the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack. That vocal, "We Are," launched Johnsson into the international spotlight; the individual sailed into the Top Ten in Sweden, Austria, Norway, and Britain, and indisposed at figure 25 on the United World Chart. Her soph record album, 2004's The Way I Am, indisposed at figure one in Japan and made a strong showing in Germany (identification number 15), Switzerland (identification number 20), and Sweden (identification number 27). It garnered legion awarding nominations in Sweden, and secured Johnsson's place as unitary of Sweden's to the highest degree promising industrious kill artists of that year. Her third record album, Little Angel, was released in Scandinavia in 2006. The record album itself didn't fare well on the charts, simply it did supervise to render two Top 20 singles; "Years of Summer" indisposed at figure 7 in Sweden, and "Exclusion" reached figure 11. Johnsson as well recorded an award-winning lead for the Finnish-Chinese flick Jadesoturi (Jade Warrior) with Finnish bikers Bleak during this geological period.
